Surprise proposals are always an adventure. At Pictours Lisbon we’re open to creative ideas from our clients and always try to be as flexible as possible in the way we offer our services. We absolutely loved being a part of this secret wedding proposal. Although, we were a bit nervous about the task at hand.

The idea was to pretend to be tour guides in Cascais village for this fantastic Dutch couple. What the lucky lady didn’t know was that our real task was to take “paparazzi” style photos of the surprise wedding proposal.

The setup couldn’t be more beautiful, a fantastic warm sunset with the fishing boats composing the backdrop. In the meantime, came the hardest part, trying to catch the proposal without looking too obvious.

In addition, we had to come up with an excuse to leave. So we tried to hide in a set of palm trees carefully chosen before where we could witness all the action.

But what if someone got the way at the decisive moment? What if the lady to be surprised sees us?

Simon, chatted to us about a month in advance to book this proposal photoshoot. What’s more, is that we had some time to carefully plan the location. Devising a “fake photo tour” of Cascais wasn’t difficult. Just coming up with a valid excuse to leave was tough.

We told the couple that we needed to go back and pay for parking before we continued to the photo tour.
